2016 is the year of endings

I don't claim to know much about astrological or numerological sciences, how the sun signs and moon phases may affect us. I do, however, know that in metaphysical circles we've been talking about ascension for just over 2 years now. 

Now if you're thinking about a physical ascension, you'd be forgiven. We know that Jesus ascended into heaven as per the Biblical stories and gospels we've heard as children. This ascension is an awakening on a spiritual level. It is the increase in awareness of our Higher selves and moving onto a higher level of consciousness.

According to numerologists, 2016 equates to the accumulative number 9. Typically the vibration of this number is about completion, it is a karmic number and one that brings about changes and new beginnings. It's also a chance to change the things you're unhappy about in your life. 

My personal birth date equates to 9, I used to believe it was a number of suffering and selfless living (as in poverty and lack) but I've realised that it's more about clearing up unfinished karmic matters more than anything else and changing my life path and those of my children and family so we can prosper. So, in contrast, what ends has to start anew. 

With 2017 just around the corner and so much change and closure happening in 2016, I've decided not to get married this year. Apart from other valid reasons, we feel that the vibration of 2016 has left us exhausted and overwhelmed. We are also relocating our home to a whole new city, my step children have changed schools in a brand new city as well and my family is all seeing a string of accelerated circumstances of change that aren't all being as freely welcomed. Resistance is futile if you're trying to change the pattern. The key is to release and recognize the changes with a positive attitude. 

If there's something in your life that's repeatedly trying to end, a door that's trying to close that you just don't want to see shut. Perhaps a friendship or a relationship or even a work environment that isn't conducive to your greater good but you just don't know how to let go - I encourage you to leap. Leap without a plan, leap in faith, there are plans greater than your fears awaiting you.

As these doors close on 2016's karmic energy of endings, so 2017 brings the number 10 vibration and with that a chance for leadership, finding ourselves, starting new and building fresh networks. It's a great year to start a business or begin a creative project (or 10).
