A daily slice of life through my eyes

Globally Successful

So this weekend I found myself and 3 of my closest at the Global Success Summit 2013, the last place I would imagine myself sitting for a whole weekend.

With this said, I am a firm believer that every action has a consequence and the Law of Attraction states that the Universe abhors a vacuum.  In other words, I was meant to be there.

In The Presence Of Leaders

The line up included names that are synonymous with motivation or that I had attended seminars with including Robin Banks and Dr John Demartini. I was convinced that the other names such as Greg Secker, Doug Nelson and Andy Riddington would be wasted on me, but each of the speakers on this 2 day programme came with gems of information and buckets of inspiration.

As Dr Demartini shared his life experience and spoke on the on "Clarity of Purpose", I found myself moved to tears as this humble man held back the emotion as he recalled his difficult childhood. "The only people who don't have problems are dead", he joked, "how you respond to these problems depends on the skills, psychology and amount of fun you have to deal with them".

Dr Demartini's address set the president for the rest of the congress and every speaker brought their own unique set of psychology and pearls to the fore. 5000 inspired individuals were just getting warmed up for Richard Branson's bombshell at the end of it all, second gear engaged!

The Golden Thread

As all these speakers addressed us, each with their own history of failure and disillusionment's,  the gold thread became obvious. From bankruptcy, severe physical burns and dyslexia to living 'at the back of a bowling ally', each of these speakers had their own tale of how they chose to move forward with action instead of resting on their rumps as victims.

Another observation was that every single one of these people had stated that in order to be a winner, you need to work on your thoughts as a winner and hang around with winners daily. "The 5 people you hang around most are those you are most likely to become" - a sobering thought considering ones daily routine and associations.

Titbits from the Top

The speakers on the programme included Sir Richard Branson, Robert G.Allen, JT Foxx and Loral Langemeier to name a few. The variety of presented content all focused on entrepreneurial skills and development, mindset changes to money and paying it forward.

What amazed me most is that all of these speakers continually developed and empowered other people. Their brand manifesto and culture resonated with that of giving first. If I could sum up the entire event, here are some of the gems that stood out for me that I would like to share and give to you:

  • "Surround yourself with things you love. What does your space dictate? How do you fill your space? How do you spend your time? The things you love will be the things that you do in your spare time and energise you". Dr John Demartini on finding your path to success as an entrepreneur

  • "Consider your beliefs about money. Money and happiness are not linked.  When you positively create your thoughts - you dictate your destiny".  Robin Banks on mind-power.

  • "Hell on earth is meeting the person you could have been". Tony Robbins quoted by Andy Harrington.

  • "What stops us from realising our dreams is settling for something 'good', don't put your dreams up for sale at a price that seems 'good'.           Andy Harrington on selling out your dreams.

  • "Opportunity comes when you're not ready, when you can't afford it and when you aren't ready to take a chance. But with creativity, clarity, confidence and certainty all of us have wealth regardless of our circumstances". Robert G. Allen on money mindsets.

  • "Your path to profit depends on your relationship with money, your ability to work with Profits and Losses and your relationship to debt. Debt doesn't mean you're not living within your means, it means you're not creating enough money. Who you surround yourself is who you become, someone needs what you have to offer, somewhere in us, in our DNA is an entrepreneur. You need to give yourself permission to be successful, fear is a lack of knowledge. People don't buy other peoples stuff because they are better than you, its because you didn't ask!". Lorel Langemeier on steps to creating wealth.

  • "A business is coming up with an idea that makes a difference to other peoples lives. One of the problems with leaders is that they aren't very good at delegating or trusting. The best suggestions come from other people and I like to listen. Look for the best in people, if you don't water a flower it will shrivel". Sir Richard Branson on the importance of looking after your staff and how he made his billions.

  • "When you have more, you give more. 80-95% of people will never be financially free in their entire lives. You are the common denominator to all your money problems". Doug Nelson on changing your attitude towards money.

Inspiring isn't it. Don't despair, they will all be back in July and August for individual seminars. Further details to follow. Until then take what you want and leave the rest, but whatever you do make sure you're attending next years congress for business savvy tips and tricks.
