His Name Is Tyrell

Last year I aimed at inspiring myself (and others) with 20 random write up's about the first person to appear on my Facebook feed in the morning. I think I got to 2 of 20 and then forgot what I had started.

Today I am going to revive this quest, starting with Mr Tyrell Francis who is an old friend whom I've known for many, many years.

He must have been about 13/14 years old when I met him, I was around 16 at the time. I happened to be dating his friend David back in 1997 while still in school (Yes the same David that I got the 'Cradle Snatcher' award for at my Standard 9 social!) Anywho, moving along swiftly!

I don't have any pics of Tyrell and I together but I can tell you that he's well travelled, a gentle soul and quite the comedian (well that's how I recall him anyway) He used to make me laugh and I remember him being the 'nice one' of the bunch of friends that we used to hang out with. He tried his hand at skateboarding (better than the rest of us) and typically didn't say much - although his Facebook is littered with quirky comments and fun, fun, fun!

Not sure where in the world he is at the moment, but Tyrell I just wanna say thanks for being a positive memory in my otherwise traumatic and dysfunctional high school years. We may pass each other in the street before we recognised each other but you're the unsung hero of my childhood days. Thanks for keeping it real :)
